Agriculture in Nigeria is a sector of the economy that holds vast opportunity for wealth creation and employment, In 2010, statistics showed that agriculture provided employment for 30% of the population. With over 84 million hectares of arable land and available human capital, Nigeria has the potential to be a major player in global food and agricultural markets. In recent time, there have been reforms in the agriculture sector and we have recorded some reasonable results. Some of the interesting outcomes of this development are the rise in the production of local rice and milling.
